This Easter, Sun City is gearing up to create magical moments for the whole family with a host of egg-citing activities.
Experience The Palace's massive Easter buffet dinner at Crystal Court on Friday and Saturday, and a delicious, chocolate-filled Easter Saturday High Tea. There will be kids’ entertainment aplenty, from an Easter Sunday Egg Hunt at the Baobab Outlook, and on Easter Sunday, the eponymous bunny will appear at The Palace pool deck to entertain resident kids all afternoon. Guests at The Cabanas can let the kids roam the lawns looking for Easter Eggs, with three hour-long hunts on Saturday and two on Sunday, and a bunny painting area.
There will even be a blind folded Easter egg hunt for parents, guaranteed to entertain the kids as they laugh at mom and dad.
There’s a reason Sun City Resort has stood the test of time and is one of South Africa’s most loved family destinations – the never-ending supply of activities and adventure mean parents will never have to hear their kids utter that familiar refrain of “I’m bored”.
While the younger children are hunting eggs, older children can choose from myriad active and fun things to do, such as ziplining, Segway and the Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure Park, which offers an elevated obstacle course including high balancing beams, speedy zip lines, hanging spider nets, jungle rope bridges and much more.
Mankwe Gametrackers Outdoor Adventure Centre offers game drives, bush walks, hot air balloon safaris, archery and quad biking inside the malaria-free Big Five Pilansberg National Park.
Family entertainment doesn’t stop there, The Magic Company has a wide range of games and ten-pin bowling, Breakout Games where players have to solve puzzles before escaping a locked room, the Jump Park with outdoor trampolines, mini golf and mini quad biking, Sun Movies for the latest on the big screen and buy your ticket for a rail adventure on the Stimela Train.
Waterworld, Sun City’s man-made lake offers motorised water fun including jet skiing and water skiing, as well as more sedentary boat cruises, while the Vortex Virtual Lounge will thrill teens and tweens with virtual reality gaming. The Maze of the Lost City at Sun City resembles a half-ruined Mayan stone maze and is a challenging experience and great fun for everyone.
In the evening, take a stroll and discover a magical forest dotted with twinkling lights, hidden pathways at the The Forest of Lights, a spectacular light installation at Cascades Hotel.
“All this before you even step into azure water and hit the thrilling rides at The Valley of Waves,” said Sun City General Manager Brett Hoppé. “We also offer Kamp Kwena, a crèche with qualified child minders which provides year-round kids’ activities programmes designed to keep little ones entertained so parents can have some time to relax.”
“Sun City is a family-orientated getaway – our selection of entertainment is unbeatable and we promise non-stop fun for all ages and memories that will last a lifetime,” Hoppé said.
